getSimplePay (getsimplepay.io) is Real Simple Labs’ US bank-pay product: shoppers save versus card-inflated checkout prices, merchants reduce processing fees, and participating brands can run store-credit loyalty on top.
- Primary codebase: the `simple-pay` Shopify app — Shopify CLI 3.x monorepo with an Express backend, Vite + React merchant UI (Polaris, App Bridge, React Query), checkout UI extensions, and Shopify Functions for payment customization.
- I owned the Shopify surface end-to-end: OAuth install flows, Admin API integration, checkout extension wiring, payment-method hide/show rules by cart total, and merchant settings for customizing how SimplePay appears at checkout — alongside sibling payment services (API, checkout banners, merchant web) that complete the live product.

Problem
DTC brands on Shopify needed SimplePay as a first-class payment option — not a bolt-on iframe. That meant a proper Shopify app, checkout extensions merchants can enable, and payment-customization logic so bank pay shows up only when it makes sense, while the public site explains ACH savings to shoppers.
